Khaleda Zia, Haji Salim cannot participate in elections

BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia and Awami League Member of Parliament Haji Salim, who have been sentenced for more than two years, will not be able to participate in the national elections.

Anti-Corruption Commission chief lawyer Khurshid Alam Khan told reporters in front of the Supreme Court's annex building on Monday.

He said, according to the latest judgment of the High Court, those sentenced for more than two years cannot participate in the elections.
