Fire breaks out at Mohakhali's Khawaja Tower

A fire broke out at the Khawaja Tower in Amtali of Mohakhali in the Capital on Thursday.

The FSCD first received information about the fire at 4:58pm, Fire Service and Civil Defence Media Wing Officer Shahjahan Shikder said. 

Eleven units of the Fire Service and Civil Defence (FSCD) were fighting to control the blaze at the time of filing this report at 6:20pm.

The 13th floor of the tower was ablaze. The cause of the fire and the extent of damage could not be known immediately.

Army, Navy, and Air Force have joined the efforts to douse the fire, the ISPR said.
