Jubo Dal leader shot dead

A Jubo Dal leader, Shamim Mollah, was shot dead by the police during a clash between BNP men and police personnel in Nayapaltan of the capital on Saturday.

Deceased Shamim Mollah, son of Yusuf Mollah, was the president of Unit No. 1 of Ward No. 7 of Mugda Thana Jubo Dal unit. 

Earlier, he was taken to Rajarbagh Police Lines Hospital after being injured in the clash. Liton Mahmud, acting member secretary of Dhaka Metropolitan South unit of BNP confirmed that Shamim Mollah died at the hospital in the evening.
