Public transports to ply during blockade

Buses and goods-laden vehicles will continue to ply across the country, including Dhaka city, during the three-day blockade enforced by BNP, according to Bangladesh Road Transport Owners Association and Bangladesh Sarak Paribahan Sramik Federation.

The decision came from a joint meeting held at the office of Bangladesh Road Transport Owners Association on Monday, said a press release.

Among others, Bangladesh Road Transport Owners Association Mashiur Rahman Ranga, MP, Secretary General Enayet Ullah and General Secretary of the Sramik Federation Osman Ali were present at the meeting.

Bangladesh Sarak Paribahan Sramik Federation President Shahjahan Khan, MP, chaired the meet. 

The transport leaders urged the owners of the association and the Sramik federation to ply vehicles on all routes as usual. 

BNP called the three-day countrywide blockade that begins Tuesday.
