Armed forces earned over Tk 27,941.63cr in 23yrs

Bangladesh Armed Forces have earned a total of over Tk 27,941.63 crore from foreign missions in the last 23 years.

"Bangladesh Armed Forces have earned over Tk 27,941.63 crore so far from employment in foreign missions since 2000-2001," said Anisul Huq, who is responsible for the Defense Ministry.

The minister made the remark while responding to a query which was raised by the treasury bench lawmaker Habibur Rahman of Bogura-5 at the Jatiya Sangad with Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury in the chair on Thursday.

The average annual foreign exchange earnings from the foreign missions was Tk 1,214.85 crore during this time.
