Dry weather likely

The weather may remain dry with a temporary partly cloudy sky over the country in the next 24 hours, commencing 9am on Tuesday, according to a Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD).

Day temperature may remain nearly unchanged and night temperature may fall slightly over the country, it added. The Met Office also predicted that the dry weather is likely to continue.

The country's maximum temperature on Monday was recorded at 33.2 degrees Celsius at Mongla and Tuesday's minimum temperature of 16.4 degrees Celsius was recorded at Tetulia.

However, no rainfall was traced anywhere across the country in the last 24 hours till 6am Tuesday.

The sun sets at 5:16pm on Tuesday and rises at 6:09am on Wednesday in the capital.
