Aman placed on seven-day remand

A Dhaka court has put Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) joint general secretary Aman Ullah Aman on seven-day remand in a case filed over murder of police constable Amirul Islam Pervej on October 28.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Rajesh Chowdhury passed the order on Tuesday after he was produced before the court seeking seven-day remand plea.

Aman is one of the prime accused in the case lodged over the brutal killing of the policeman during the upholding the grand rally enforced by the BNP.

Aman was arrested from Mohakhali Bus Stand area Monday night during a drive conducted by Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) unit of Dhaka Metropolitan Police.
