12 vehicles torched in 15 hours

Twelve vehicles have been set on fire across the country in the last 15 hours between 6pm on Wednesday and 9am on Thursday, Fire Service and Civil Defence (FSCD) media cell said in a press release.

No vehicles were torched in Dhaka city within this time, the press release issued Thursday said.

According to the release, two vehicles were burned in Dhaka Division (Dohar, Tangail), one in Barishal (Jhalokathi), five in Rajshahi (Natore, Bogura, Chapainawabganj), two in Chattogram (Chattogram, Chandpur), and one in Sylhet (Sadar).

Among the vehicles were two buses, two covered vans, five trucks, two legunas, and one train. A total of 21 units and 116 members of the FSCD worked to douse the fires set by miscreants, the release added.
