Cyclone Midhili may hit Friday

State Minister for Disaster Management and Relief Dr Md Enamur Rahman has said the deep depression over the Bay of Bengal will intensify into a cyclonic storm from 12am (midnight) on Thursday. It is likely to hit 11 coastal districts of the country.

He disclosed this information at a press conference after a meeting at the ministry's conference room at the Secretariat on Thursday evening.

The state minister said the cyclone is likely to hit the coast by 12pm on Friday. The name of the cyclone will be 'Midhili'.
