PM opens AL nomination form selling

Awami League (AL) President and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has inaugurated selling of party's nomination forms for the 12th parliamentary elections.

She has also collected the nomination form for herself to participate in the polls of Gopalganj-3 constituency.

The AL chief opened the nomination paper sale at the party's central office on 23 Bangabandhu Avenue in the city on Saturday morning.

AL Advisory Council Member Kazi Akram Uddin Ahmed collected the nomination form for Sheikh Hasina.

Gopalganj AL President Mahmud Ali Khan and General Secretary B M Sahabuddin Azam were present on the occasion.

10 booths for eight divisions have been set up at the party headquarters to sell the nomination forms among the aspirant candidates for the parliamentary elections slated for January 7.

The party aspirants can collect and submit the nomination papers from 10 am on November 18 to 4 pm on November 21 every day.

During the application collection process, the candidate's National Identity Card (NID) must be brought in photocopy form. The candidate's current organizational identification, three previous positions' names, and their cellphone number must all be legibly written on the photocopy.
