18 vehicles torched in 24 hours

Eighteen vehicles have been set on fire across the country in the last 24 hours between 9am on Sunday and 9am on Monday, Fire Service and Civil Defence (FSCD) media cell said.

The highest number of arson incidents in Rajshahi division. According to the FSCD, seven incidents were in Rajshahi division (Natore, Bogura, Sirajganj), three in Dhaka city and one elsewhere in Dhaka division, four in Chattogram division (Feni, Mirsarai, Satkania), and one in Mymensingh division (Jamalpur).

A total of nine buses, one covered van, six trucks, one CNG-run autorickshaw, and three bogies of a train were burned in these incidents. 29 units and 144 members of the FSCD worked to put out the fires.
