Traffic increases on Dhaka roads

The number of buses, and other public transports, as well as passengers and commuters, increased on Dhaka roads on Wednesday morning, during the sixth phase of a two-day countrywide blockade called by the BNP and Jamaat.

A similar situation was seen at the capital's Gabtali, Aminbazar, Mirpur 10, Mohakhali, Shyamoli, Kazipara, Sheorapara, and Agargaon. A small number of buses also left the Gabtali and Mohakhali bus terminals.

On Monday, the BNP announced a 48-hour hartal (November 22 and 23) across the country to press home their one-point demand for the immediate resignation of the ruling Awami League government and to protest the 'one-sided' election schedule.
