Bus catches fire at Dhaleswari Expressway toll plaza, 3 injured

Three passengers have been injured in a bus fire at Dhaleswari Toll Plaza of Dhaka-Mawa Expressway in South Keraniganj on Friday afternoon.

Locals said, “A passenger bus of Islamia Paribahan arrived at Dhaleswari toll plaza. Suddenly smoke was seen emitted from the bus, people rushed out. Later, the fire service was informed, but the bus was gutted before they arrived. There were not many passengers in the bus.”

Three people were injured and they were rescued and taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital.

Dakshin Keraniganj Police Station OC Mohammad Shahzaman said the police are investigating the matter of who set fire to the bus.
