BRTC bus stuck in Agargaon halts traffic

A BRTC bus became stuck perpendicular to the street in the capital's Agargaon on Wednesday morning, halting traffic for more than an hour and causing immense suffering to the morning commuters.

Masud Rana was driving the Bangladesh Agricultural Development Corporation staff bus. He said that at around 8:30am, he lost control over the steering and to save a private car in front of it, he decided to turn the vehicle. This caused the bus to get stuck under the Bijoy Sarani Metro Rail Station perpendicular to the street.

As a result, traffic from the direction of the Planning Ministry towards Bijoy Sarani remained halted till 9:45am, when the bus was removed.
