Moving pickup torched in Sirajganj

Miscreants have set fire to a moving pickup van at Panchlia area of Bangabandhu Bridge West Highway under Kamarkhanda upazila of Sirajganj on Wednesday.

Hatikumru Highway Police Station's officer-in-charge (OC), MA Wadud, stated that the moving pickup carrying vegetables was traveling from North Bengal to Dhaka.

When the pickup reached the Panchlia Aziz fueling station area, potholes caused it to slow down. A group of miscreants set it on fire around 3:15 in the morning and ran away.

The driver and his sidekick exited the pickup. The front end of the pickup was totally gutted by the flames.

According to OC, a fire fighters responded to the call and extinguished the blaze.
