154 BGB platoons deployed countrywide

The government has deployed 154 platoons of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) across the country aiming to keep the law-and-order situation under control.

Meanwhile, 435 patrolling teams of the RAB were also deployed in the country.

A 48-hour blockade called by the BNP and like-minded parties started at 6am on Sunday. It is to be continued till 6am Tuesday. In light of such a situation, the BGB platoons and RAB patrolling teams were deployed.
