IPPF team arrives in city

International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF) team led by its South Asian Regional Office Director Sonal Mehta has arrived in Dhaka on Wednesday to oversee their field level activities newly assigned to implementing partners (IPs) Bandhu and PSTC. 

Director Murseda Chowdhury and Senior Advisor Arpita Das were also included in the team, said a press release.

The team visited PSTC Matrisadan in Mughda, PSTC Model Clinic in Aftabnagar, and an adolescent girls’ session at Aftabnagar conducted under the PSTC’s GOAL project.

While talking to the fellow colleagues, Sonal Mehta expressed her hope saying that IPPF will work more closely with its IPs - Bandhu and PSTC - in the days ahead with a view to achieving common goals to empower young people and women, strengthen SRHR programs, to develop sexual and reproduction health in Bangladesh.

PSTC Board Chairman Dr M Golam Rahman, PSTC Executive Director Dr Noor Mohammad and other high officials exchanged views with the visiting team.
