Paturia-Daulatdia ferry movement resumes after 8.5hrs

The ferry movement between Paturia-Daulatdia resumed after about eight and a half hours which was disrupted due to dense fog.

Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Corporation (BIWTC), Paturia ghat AGM Abdus Salam said the ferry movement was suspended on Paturia-Daulatdia and Aricha-Kazirhat routes at about 1am on Sunday due to poor visibility as the dense fog blanketed the river. Ferry movement resumed at around 9:30am.

During this period four ferries were stranded in the middle of the river Padma.
