Tamizi Haque sent to rehab centre for mental checkup

Detective Branch (DB) of Police has sent the arrested Haque Group Chairman Adam Tamizi Haque to the rehab centre under the supervision of police to examine his mental health.

Chief of the Detective Branch (DB) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police Mohammad Harun-Or-Rashid today disclosed the matter at the DB office on Minto road in the city.

The DB official said Tamizi Haque has a case against him with Dakshinkhan police station and there is an arrest warrant against him in a case lodged with Ramna police station.

In light of these, DB police arrested him from city's Gulshan on Saturday evening, he added.

He further said that Tamizi Haque was sent to a good psychologist.

"If Tamizi is mentally fit, we will interrogate him," he said. Harun also said that actions will be taken against Tamizi if he has committed all his recent activities intentionally.
