Arsonists torch bus in Dhanmondi 15

A bus was set on fire in Dhaka's Dhanmondi area during the 36-hour blockade called by the BNP and its allies. 

The incident took place at 9:30 am on Wednesday, on the second day of the blockade, with a bus belonging to Rajanigandha Paribahan being torched. 

Firefighters were called in to extinguish the blaze, and no casualties have been reported. 

These arson attacks have been occurring since the BNP's Nayapaltan rally was disrupted on October 28 due to clashes between party members and the police. 

The BNP and its allies have been organising protests and blockades throughout the country to oppose the Election Commission's announced schedule for the next national election slated for January 7.
