Firearm license renewal deadline extended

The deadline for firearms license renewal has been extended from January 15 to February 28, 2024 on the occasion of the 12th Jatiya Sangsad (JS) elections slated for January 7. 

This extension was made as per Section 31 (a) of the Firearms Licensing, Renewal and Use Policy, 2016. 

The extension is applicable only for the renewal of firearms for the year 2023.

Following the direction of Election Commission (EC), Public Security Division issued the notification.
