4 dengue patients die, 239 hospitalised

Four dengue patients died and 239 were admitted to hospitals in Bangladesh during the past 24 hours till 8am on Monday.

This comes after the country witnessed the highest number of dengue deaths in a single day this year on November 15, with a total death toll of 1,686 recorded from January 1 to December 18. 

Of the patients admitted, 65 were in Dhaka city, while 174 were in hospitals outside the capital. 

In total, there have been 3,19,475 dengue patients reported this year, with 3,16,333 being discharged from hospitals.
