Road accident on Hanif flyover kills 1

A motorcycle rider was killed in a road accident on the capital's Hanif flyover on Thursday morning.

The deceased was identified as Md Sharif Hossain, 38, a ride-sharing biker. He hailed from Nawabpur of Sutrapur.

Jatrabari Police Station Sub-Inspector Farzana Aktar said a Desh Travels bus on the Dhaka-Kolkata route hit the motorbike, killing Md Sharif on the spot.

The body was sent to the Dhaka Medical College Hospital morgue. The bus was seized and its driver was detained.
