DB identified people involved in Tejgaon train fire

The Detective Branch (DB) of Police has said they have identified those involved in a train fire in Dhaka's Tejgaon which resulted in the death of at least four people.

DB is working to take legal action against those people, DB chief of Dhaka Metropolitan Police Mohammad Harun-Or-Rashid told journalists at the DB office in Dhaka's Minto Road on Thursday.

Mentioning that CCTV footage was collected, he said, "The footage is being analysed. We will inform after the miscreants are arrested."

Miscreants set fire to three compartments of the Mohonganj Express at the capital's Tejgain Railway Station at dawn on December 19.

The train from Netrakona was headed for Dhaka. Passengers spotted fire after passing the Airport station. Then the train driver stopped at Tejgaon Station.

Four dead bodies were recovered from one compartment afterwards.
