EC for declaring general holiday on January 7

The Election Commission has requested the Ministry of Public Administration to declare January 7 a general holiday in observance of the 12th Parliamentary Election.

The 12th national election is set to take place on January 7 and for this, declaring the day as general holiday is important, according to a release signed by Atier Rahman, the deputy secretary of election management.

In the letter, directives were sought to declare January 7 as a general holiday.
