Eagle is symbol of poor-working people, voters to A.K. Azad

The electioneering environment is prevailing in Faridpur 3 constituency. The entire Faridpur Sadar is covered with banners, posters and festoons. Candidates are running from door to door to voters, making various promises to elect them in the upcoming January 7 election.

On Tuesday morning, independent candidate A. K. Azad was making campaign in Faridpur's new bus stand area. At this time, the voters told him, "You don't have to worry. The eagle is the symbol of the poor-working people. You will win.”

Abdul Jabbar, 60, a rickshaw puller, has been waiting for a passenger at the new bus stand area. All on a sudden, independent candidate A.K. Azad shook hands with the rickshaw puller and hugged him. Being overwhelmed, Jabbar said, “You have done a lot for the people of Faridpur. You have provide many jobs to unemployed. This time the people of Faridpur will elect you by casting vote. You will not be afraid; the symbol eagle of a poor-working man like me.”

At the end of the mass communication, the candidate for the eagle symbol delivered an immediate speech at the bus stand area. A.K. Azad said, “Shamim Haque has established a politics of fear in Faridpur. My workers-supporters are constantly being beaten up, threatened with terrorist acts. If I am elected, this Faridpur will be a district of peace. No terrorist, extortion, tender activities will be allowed in Faridpur.”

“I have been with the common people of Faridpur for a long time. I have built schools, colleges, hospitals. If I am elected, I will emphasize on employment. Along with the socio-economic change of Faridpur by building factories, we will provide jobs in every house,” he said.

A. K. Azad said, "I want to say to those who are threatening and oppressing my workers-supporters today – terrifying people, they will not get any benefit as people of Faridpur know how to protest. The voters will give their verdict through the ballot on January 7. InshaAllah, eagle symbol will win in the polls
