BUET admission test begins on February 24

Exams for first-year admission to the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) for the 2023–2024 academic year will begin on February 24.

The suggestion came from a meeting of the university's admission committee, and Professor Mizanur Rahman, Director of Students' Welfare (DSW), stated that it will be officially declared in the subsequent academic council meeting.

The tests will be taken in two phases, as per last year: a written exam on March 16 and a preliminary exam on February 24.

There will be negative marks for the preliminary exam. Additionally, he stated that every incorrect response will result in the loss of 0.25 marks. A preliminary test consisting of 100 marks will be administered in the first phase, with multiple-choice questions (MCQs). For the eligible applicants from the preliminary test, a second phase exam will be taken later.
