Faridpur's top terror Samrat sent to jail

The court rejected the bail application of Tofazzal Hossain Samrat, the top and talked about terrorist of Faridpur district and ordered him to be sent to jail.

Faridpur Kotwali Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Shahidul Islam confirmed the information to The Daily Samakal on Wednesday.

He also said that Samrat's remand will be sought on Thursday.

Police, in a raid in Faridpur town, have arrested Tofazzal Hossain Samrat, a notorious top terrorist of Faridpur on Wednesday afternoon.

Faridpur Kotwali Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Shahidul Islam confirmed Samrat's arrest to The Daily Samakal.

The accused, Samrat, is a follower of Shamim Haque, Awami League candidate for Faridpur-3 constituency.

In the past few days, independent candidate A.K. Azad's election camp was vandalized and attacked led by Samrat.

Apart from this, there are allegations against Samrat of being involved in killings, including running a terrorist group.
