Shahbagh, Karwan Bazar metro rail stations open Dec 31

Two more metro rail stations – Shahbagh and Karwan Bazar – will be open for commuters from December 31.

Managing Director of Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited (DMTCL) MAN Siddique confirmed the matter at a press conference held Thursday in the capital.

"Around 1 lakh 30 thousand to 1 lakh 56 thousand people are using the metro rail daily," he said.

He said the duration of metro services on the Agargaon-Motijheel section will remain the same, despite all 16 stations being operational from December 31.
