Half of Dhaka's polling centres 'risky': DMP

Around 50 per cent of Dhaka's 2146 polling centres are 'risky,' Dhaka Metropolitan Police Commissioner Habibur Rahman said on Monday.

He made the remark while talking to journalists after attending the National Textbook Festival at the Rajarbag Police Lines School & College.

Aside from police, Ansar members will also be deployed at these polling centres, he said.

"Considering everything, we consider our security measures strong," the DMP Commissioner added.
