Cumilla Education Board gets new chairman

Professor Dr. Nizamul Karim is the new chair of the Cumilla Board of Secondary and Higher Education.

Chowdhury Samia Yasmin, the deputy secretary of the Ministry of Education for the Secondary and Higher Education Division, signed a notification on Wednesday announcing the appointment.

Dr. Karim served as the director general (DG) of the National Academy for Educational Management (NAEM), according to sources at the Education Board.

He was the National Curriculum and Textbook Board secretary and is a General Education cadre officer from the BCS-14 batch.

Throughout his career, he held a variety of significant roles in the management and school administration fields.
