CTTC sees no risk of militant attacks over Jan 7 polls

There is no possibility that terrorist attacks will be occurred centring the January 7 national elections, according to the head of counterterrorism, who made this assertion on Wednesday.

The head of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police's Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) unit, Md. Asaduzzaman, made these comments after attending a medical camp for members of the Crime Reporters Association of Bangladesh.

According to Asaduzzaman, the assistant commissioner of the DMP, attempts are being taken to guarantee that the elections on January 7 are held in a free, fair, and peaceful manner.

None of the constituencies in the DMP area have yet to experience a disruption of law and order, he observed.
