Voting to be held in Naogaon-2 on Feb 12: EC

The Naogaon-2 seat poll, which was postponed due to the passing of an independent candidate, will now take place on February 12, the Election Commission declared on Monday.

The EC decided to postpone voting after independent candidate Aminul Haq, a former Awami League leader, passed away on December 29.

As of right now, eligible contenders for the seat won't need to submit nomination papers, according to the EC.

Up to January 17, new candidates can pick up nomination papers. Nomination documents will be examined on January 18; withdrawals of candidacies must be made by January 25.
