Momen to brief diplomats on polls today

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) has organized a post-election briefing for the Heads of the Diplomatic Missions and International Organizations in Dhaka on the 12th Parliamentary Elections.

Foreign Minister Dr A K Abdul Momen will make the briefing at the Foreign Service Academy (Sugandha) in the capital at 3:30pm on Tuesday, according to a MoFA media release.

The Awami League (AL) secured its fourth straight term in parliament in the 12th national elections, held on January 7 (Sunday).

AL President Sheikh Hasina is expected to serve another five years in office after the AL and its allies won 223 of 299 parliamentary seats contested.
