Hearing on Fakhrul's bail plea in 9 cases today

A Dhaka court will hold a hearing on a plea filed by BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir for bail in nine cases.

The court had set January 9 for pronouncing judgment in these nine cases filed with capital's Ramna and Paltan Model Police Stations.

A total of 11 cases were filed against Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir following untoward incidents marking BNP's grand rally on October 28.

Fakhrul was shown arrested on October 29 in the case filed over the attack on the Chief Justice's official residence, and was subsequently sent to jail.
