Zero tolerance against corruption in health sector: Minister

Newly appointed Health and Family Planning Minister Dr Samanta Lal Sen has said he will follow a zero-tolerance policy against corruption in the healthcare sector.

"The prime minister said to call her in case of any problem. In case of a problem, that is what I will do. Zero tolerance policy will be followed to prevent corruption in the healthcare sector," the minister said at a press conference held at the ministry on Sunday.

"Health ministry will work with the aim to provide quality healthcare in the remote areas.  Healthcare will be decentralized to lessen the pressure of patients in Dhaka," he also said.
