Gas crisis is temporary: Nasrul Hamid

State Minister for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Nasrul Hamid said there is some crisis in the supply of gas, however, it is temporary and it will be remedied soon.

He made the remarks at his first press conference after taking charge as the state minister for power, energy and mineral resources for the third time, at the secretariat on Tuesday.

Mentioning that there are a lot of challenges for the ministry, the state minister said the aim is to increase the supply of local gas.

"We have the target of supplying uninterrupted gas by the year 2026," he said.

Regarding the price of fuel oil in the country, he said, "The aim is not to increase or decrease the price, the price will be dynamic. No decision has yet been taken."
