2.5 crore people will get 4th dose of vaccine

As the prevalence of Covid-19 cases has increased in the country, the government has taken the decision to offer a fourth dose of the vaccine to the people.

In the next two years, 2.5 crore people will get the vaccine, Health and Family Planning Minister Dr Samanta Lal Sen said at a view-exchange meeting on Tuesday.

The minister also implored everyone to wear masks and avoid crowds. He expressed his worry regarding the identification of new strains and a hike in infections in some neighbouring countries including India.
