Unlicensed hospitals, clinics to be shut down: Samanta Lal

The health minister, Samanta Lal Sen, issued an order closing all unlicensed clinics, diagnostic facilities, and hospitals in the country.

He said it during a meeting with the Bangladesh Health Reporter's Forum on Tuesday at his ministry.

Samanta Lal said, "We will take tough measures against unauthorized hospitals, diagnostic centers, and clinics." At the same time, corruption would not be tolerated by the government.

"I was a victim of an unlicensed hospital myself," he stated, adding, “That is why I will not tolerate such negligence."
