TIB report on polls untrue: Arafat

State Minister for Information Mohammad Ali Arafat has said Transparency International Bangladesh's (TIB) report on the 12th national elections is untrue, confusing and full of loopholes.

The state minister made the remark at a press conference at the ministry on Thursday.

Challenging the think tank, the state minister said, "No international journal will publish their report... International standards were not maintained in this research."

He also said, "They took people's opinion and presented it as data."

Mentioning that the report was made by taking the results of only 50 centres out of 42,000, he said the result cannot be true.
