'Glitch' in floating LNG terminal disrupts gas supply in Ctg

Following technical glitches in the Floating Storage and Regasification Unit (FSRU) of liquefied natural gas at Maheshkhali, gas supply has been shut in Chattogram since Friday morning , according to a press release of Petrobangla.

However, the release did not clarify the reason or manner of glitches in the FSRU.

Sources said, it might take at least till evening to resume the gas supply.

Due to the cold, many areas of the country are experiencing low gas pressure, the release added.
