Trade union forming process to be made easier: Law minister

The United States has asked Bangladesh to make it easier for workers to form trade unions. US Embassy's First Secretary and Labour Attache made the request on Sunday when they called on Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Anisul Huq.

The process of forming a trade union will be gradually eased, the minister told journalists after the meeting. 

Anisul said discussions about the minimum threshold for unions and other issues. When asked whether their discussion included Nobel Laureate Dr Muhammad Yunus, the minister said there was no talk regarding this issue.
