Mild cold wave to continue

A mild to moderate cold wave is sweeping over the districts of Gopalgonj, Kishoreganj, Moulavibazar, Jashore, Kushtia, and Chuadanga, as well as the divisions of Rangpur and Rajshahi, according to a statement from the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD).

There's a chance this cold snap will last, it said.

"The country might have a brief period of dry weather accompanied by partly cloudy skies. The warning said that "moderate to thick fog may occur at places over the river basins and light to moderate fog at places elsewhere over the country during midnight to morning." It was issued for a 24-hour period beginning at 9 am on Saturday.

At 27.8 degrees, Sitakunda registered the hottest temperature in the country.
