2 held with 1,550 litres liquor in Godagari

Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested two alleged drug peddlers with 1,550 litres of local wine from Godagari in Rajshahi district on Sunday night.

The two arrested are Shree Mohadev Roy, 30 and Shree Sushil Roy, 50, both hailing from Palsha Morafela village under Mohonpur union of Godagari upazila in Rajshahi district.

Acting on a tip-off, a team of the elite force raided Palsha Morafela village at around 11:10pm and arrested the duo as they were preparing wine.

Later, the arrestees were handed over to the police of Godagari thana with a case, the sources at RAB added.
