Major Gen Ashrafuzzaman Siddiqui made BGB DG

Major Gen Ashrafuzzaman Siddiqui has been appointed as the next director general of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB).

As Major Gen AKM Nazmul Hasan was called back to the Armed Forces Division from the border guard, he assumes his position.

The Ministry of Public Administration said in a statement on Tuesday that the appointment will "take immediate effect."
