Rain, thundershowers likely in 4 divisions

The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has predicted rainfall and thundershowers in a few places over four divisions, with mainly dry, cloudy weather elsewhere in the country.

"Rain/T. showers are likely to occur at one or two places over Rajshahi, Rangpur, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions," according to a BMD weather bulletin issued Monday.

Moderate to thick fog may occur over the river basins of the country, and light to moderate fog elsewhere over the country from midnight to morning. Inland river transport may be disrupted temporarily due to thick fog.

Night temperature may rise by (1-2)°C and day temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.

The country's maximum temperature on Sunday was recorded at 29.2 degrees Celsius at Sitakunda while Monday's minimum temperature of 10.5 degrees Celsius was recorded at Sayedpur.

The sun sets at 5:47 pm on Monday and rises at 6:37 am on Tuesday in the capital.
