Rain likely in Sylhet

The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has predicted some amount of rainfall in the Sylhet division.

"Rain/drizzle is likely to occur at one or two places over Sylhet division. The weather may remain mainly dry with partly cloudy sky elsewhere over the country," according to a BMD weather forecast issued Wednesday.

Moderate to thick fog may occur over the river basins of the country and light to moderate fog may occur elsewhere over the country during midnight to morning. Inland river transport may be disrupted temporarily due to thick fog.

Night temperature may fall by (1-2)°C and day temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.

The country's maximum temperature on Tuesday was recorded at 29.0 degrees Celsius at Rangamati while Wednesday's minimum temperature of 11.6 degrees Celsius was recorded at Tetulia.

The sun sets at 5:48pm on Wednesday and rises at 6:37am on Thursday in the capital.
