Over 5 lakh posts remain vacant: Farhad

A total of 5,03,333 posts remain vacant in the public services, said Public Administration Minister Farhad Hossain.

The minister said there are some 5,03,333 posts remain vacant in different ministries, division, department and offices as per the statistics of government servant 2022 published from public administration.

The minister made the disclosure while responding to a query raised by treasury bench lawmaker M Mamunur Rashid Kiron of Noakhali-3 during the question-answer session at the Jatiya Sangsad.

Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury chaired the session.

Appointments have already been made for 358,237 of the available posts throughout the 2019–2023 government term.
