2nd phase of Bishwa Ijtema ends with Akheri Munajat

The second phase of Bishwa Ijtema, the second largest congregation of Muslims, ended with Akheri Munajat (final prayers) on Sunday.

Thousands of devotees took part in the second phase of Bishwa Ijtema which began on the bank of the Turag River at Tongi, on the outskirts of the capital on February 9.

Thousands of pilgrims boarding buses, trucks and pick-ups from different parts of the country arrived on the Ijtema premises to join the Akheri Munajat.

The first phase of Bishwa Ijtema ended on February 4 on the same venue, starting on February 2.
