Bangladeshi couple killed in New York car crash

A road accident killed a Bangladeshi couple and critically injured their child in New York in the United States early on Saturday (local time).

The two deceased were identified as Hafiz Ahmed Angel, 52, and his wife Sathi Ahmed, 45. Sathi Ahmed was the Cultural Secretary of the Gazipur Society in New York.

Hafiz and Sathi were going to Binghampton from New York at around 11am when they had the accident and died on the spot. Their daughter Raida, 8, was critically injured and is now kept on life support at a nearby hospital.

The couple also has an 18-year-old son named Esam. The family of four has been living in New York for many years.
